Opening of European Ceramic Context 2024

The exhibitions in the European Ceramic Context 2024 will be displayed in two locations on Bornholm: Hjorths Fabrik in Rønne and at the Bornholm Center for Crafts in Hasle.

The opening of the exhibitions will take place on Saturday, September 14th: 2:00 PM at the Bornholm Center for Crafts, Grønbechs Gård, Hasle, Award Ceremony 4:00 PM at Hjorths Fabrik, Rønne

This is the ninth time the European Ceramic Context opens on Bornholm. Every three years, you can experience the latest trends in contemporary glass and ceramics from all over Europe. This year's triennial theme addresses global seriousness and poses the question: How do ceramic practitioners work with sustainability in Europe? Can we rethink and reuse ceramic materials? Is it time to revise concepts and aesthetic conventions?

65 works and projects have been selected by an international jury and will be displayed at the triennial from September 14th to November 7th, 2024.
