Granite as a glaze

BornholmCraftWeeks

13 Oct – 14 Oct 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
Nexø

Pulverized rønnegranite from Stubbeløkken quarry on Bornholm is in itself a glaze for the ceramist. A very shiny and lustrous dark brown glaze. Over two days, we will explore the stonemeals potential as a ceramic glaze. You will leave the course with a broad collection of unique recipes in which the rønnegranite is incorporated. Use the island’s raw materials and give your ceramics a touch of local Bornholm history.

All materials, test pieces in stoneware, firings, coffee, tea and lunch on both days, are included in the price.
