Welcome to the ceramic workshop. Here, you will have the opportunity to make your own bowl in clay using a technique called "sausage technique". This is something you can easily learn even if you're not familiar with it.
The workshop takes place in the studio of ceramic artist Maja Frendrup, who keeps her studio and shop open for visitors during Bornholm Craft Weeks. She's probably busy making some pots using the sausage technique herself.
After you've built the bowl, it needs to dry. Then, Maja will fire and glaze it for you. This process takes a few weeks before it's completely ready. Afterward, you can use it as a candy bowl or for whatever you like.
Other information:
On the days of the drop-in workshop, you can arrive between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, and you should expect the workshop to take approximately one to one and a half hours. The workshop is suitable for children and young people aged 5 - 17 years old. Accompanying adults are welcome to stay in the workshop or go downstairs to buy an ice cream while the work is being done.
In addition to being a ceramic artist, Maja is also a trained art teacher.
