During Bornholm Craft Weeks, you are welcome in ceramicist Maja Frendrup's workshop in Sandvig. Here you can get an insight into the process behind the works and of course see the newest pieces in the shop.
The pots are modeled in stoneware clay and Maja works with layers and structures as well as using sand and stones collected around the island. This creates stories from Bornholm's nature and about the interaction between materials.
Maja graduated from the Royal Academy's department of glass and ceramics in Nexø in 2014 and has since had her own workshop in Sandvig. You will also find Maja's work in the shop Håndværket in Allinge and at Bornholm’s Center for Crafts in Hasle.
