Artist Talk with the Artists Behind the Exhibition Ødeland

Every year, enormous amounts of ceramic waste - tiles, pots, plates, toilets, and bricks – are deposited. Most glass is already recycled, but there are also waste products from this recirculation. In the quarry industry, a waste production arises that is discarded as waste. Can all this waste be used to manufacture new ceramic objects?

We have investigated this, and in the exhibition, you will see the results of our experiments. We, Christina Schou Christensen, Thora Finnsdottir and Signe Fensholt, have used the investigations in our artistic work, and the works you see are predominantly made of waste.
