Bornholm Wheel Throwing Championships 2025

This year, the event takes place at Hjorths Fabrik in Rønne, where skilled potters have practiced freehand throwing since 1862. It’s a proud legacy for the contestants to live up to as they compete in three classic disciplines:
Tallest Cylinder, Widest Bowl, and Series Throwing.

At the end of the competition, the judges will crown the new Bornholm Wheel Throwing Champion 2025, and the top three will receive great prizes.

It will be a true celebration of the potter’s wheel!
Alongside the competition, everyone is welcome to try their hand at the wheel in our activity workshop, where factory staff will be on hand to help.

There will also be a special demonstration by ceramic artists who specialize in throwing and decorating in one fluid process — sharing their unique techniques live.

The event takes place in the charming and historic courtyard of Hjorths Fabrik, where you can also enjoy coffee, juice, and sandwiches.
